About Seton

Seton History

Seton Academy was founded in 1963 by the late Mary Drago Hayes and the late Anthony Drago. Mrs.Hayes was a well-respected educator of young children. She received her Bachelor’s Degree in Education and was a long time member of the National Association for the Education of Young Children. She taught kindergarten at Seton for many years and oversaw the programs at both schools. Seton Academy was established to meet the needs of young children in the Las Vegas area. Psychologists and educators agree that more learning takes place during the first five years of a child’s life than during any other period.

Our Philosophy

Our pre-schools and kindergarten continue Mrs. Hayes’s legacy by operating as a family owned business that provides excellent education as it has throughout its 52 year history. Mrs. Hayes had a vision of a school with a loving environment that would aid in the development of the young child socially, physically, emotionally, and intellectually. Through her dedication and skill, the learning experience for Seton Academy Preschool and Kindergarten became one of Las Vegas’ finest, and has been the recipient of many awards.
Seton Academy offers its students academic instruction, life skills, and fun according to a time tested program created by Mrs. Hayes and her experienced staff.
